2dc ascii file format
« on: September 21, 2007, 03:23:24 PM »
I use VBA to generate 2dc (ascii) files, which I then load into DC.

I then use DC to export the data to a dxf or dwg file format for use by automated cutting vendors. The use of ascii files in DC for this purpose is simple and quick.

My question is regarding the 3 numbers on two lines following the sys var entity 20 declarartion, and just before the asterick.

The third number sets the scale divisor, but I have not determined the purpose of the first two numbers.

Any info would be helpful.

Thanks, Bob

Entity 20 is not documented, but from your post, the parameters appear to be a reordering of the first line of entity 41.

For Entity 20,

line 2          Large Cursor Step Size  , Small Cursor Step Size  (comma included)
line 3          Drawing Unit Size  ( scale divisor )

Best Regards,
