V2018 imported image - handles not working
« on: December 11, 2017, 06:38:55 PM »
This is the first time I've tried to manipulate an embedded image in 2018 - and the selection handles are not working.
If I select the image to bring up the 8 handles (corners and midpoints) and grab a corner to stretch the image it tries to move it instead - but doesn't even do that properly. In some attempts it actually rotated the image. After editing once the error changes to a different (wrong) result.
If I grab a side handle to stretch on the X axis is reduces the Y axis instead.

It all worked fine in V2016.

Yup, yet another bust for V2018, fortunately not to hard to work around.

Same issue was discovered relating to resizing and reshaping text entities.

If you have access to the beta forum it was here

The workaround was to use resizing handles, (the red squares) which seems to work for embedded images as well, maybe unless you need to move corners to exact points.

Thanks Rob,
Yes - resizing handles works OK, I hadn't thought to use them.
No access to the beta forum I'm afraid. :(
