Stop redraw fix
« on: September 02, 2016, 07:54:46 AM »
This is a minor but annoying problem. If you change a view angles in the View toolbar the screen starts to redraw. If you then press ESCape to stop the redraw the view angle switches back to what it was before you changed it.

In small drawings this isn't a problem. But as drawings get larger it takes a long time to redraw the screen - about 45 seconds in the file that I am currently working with. In many cases I want to change more than one of the view angles, so I change one, wait 45 seconds, then change the other, wait 45 seconds, etc.

Since the view I get after I change the first view angle really isn't what I want to end up with, it would be nice if ESCape just terminated the screen redraw, and not the view angle change.

Better still, don't redraw the screen until after the cursor/focus leaves the View toolbar. This would allow us to change several angles/distances as a group before the lengthy screen redraw process starts.
