EDIT command
« on: November 01, 2013, 05:26:17 PM »
How about  an EDIT command, similar to INPUT, but with a prepopulated input field?

EDIT promptstring$, resultstring$  where the initial value of resultstring$ is placed in the edit box for editing?

Alternatively a sys() variable could be used as a flag to cause the insertion of current values of one or more input variable values into the edit box of an INPUT command.

Better yet,

How about just a new sys$() variable, which, if populated, would be inserted for editing into the input field of an input command? The sys$() variable would be immediately voided after each use.

No new command necessary. Just modify INPUT to load the string for editing at the outset.
