undo property of macro
« on: May 21, 2007, 04:55:51 PM »
It would be helpful at times to be able to set UNDO markers within a macro which would determine how any subsequent UNDO would treat the operations performed by the macro.

With no markers, current practice would remain the default.

A single marker at the beginning of the macro would result in undo of the entire macro at once.

The markers could be distributed throughout the macro, and within loops, to further establish undo points.

I saw the value of this recently when writing a macro to perform a Duplicate while sys(242) was set. The undo key undid the duplicate and the selection, but did not move the handles back to their prior location.
