CBuilder 6
« on: February 19, 2012, 01:00:37 PM »
I am building a cabinet making program in CBuilder 6. Are there any recommendations as to interfacing with Basic Cad vs C++ SDK?

You can create an OLE Automation program in C++ Builder, which can then call a macro using the RunBasicCAD function in the Document class.

This makes a lot of sense. Just use the ole automation to automate - and then use the simpler Basic Cad syntax to get the work done. I have played around with the C++ SDK and found it a bit tedius - at least when using CBuilder.

Thanks.

Agreed, the C++ interface *is* tedious, no matter which flavor you're using. VB and Delphi are much more approachable, IMO.
