remember window locations for messagebox and input

Hi DT,

When a message box or window is moved by the user to another part of the view window, DC should remember that location and display any subsequent message box or io window at the same location.

This would greatly improve the usability of DC when multiple messages are displayed in loops.

For input and output windows, perhaps sys(130)-sys(133) should be auto updated by the user dragging the window across the screen.

BD,

Good idea. Some dialog boxes already do this - Circle for example. If you drag it out of the middle of the drawing window (the worst possible position) to a corner and then execute the command, the next time you use the command the box opens at the new position. Not only that, if you execute some other commands (Arc, Arrow, etc.) those dialogs open at the new position.

On the other hand Point Relative (and other point commands) always opens in the center of the window. It would be nice if there was some consistency to dialog box positions, and allow the user to put them in a more convenient position.

When an output window is dragged across the screen, there remains no way to retrieve the new location in dcad.

Therefore, there is no way for a macro to update the location of the output window when redrawing the window.

The result is that the window is repeatedly redrawn in the wrong location.

Please provide that functionality, either in sys(132/133) or in separate sys functions.

Thanks

Hi BD,

Thanks for the suggestion. This is something we can do in the next release or the update patch.
