First of all, there are other ways to do this, but using Excel allows this powerful program make all sorts of geometric shapes (and parametric drawings!). My interest in Superellipses is here displayed and contains a nice tutorial for importing sets of points.

First--Copy the points from the second sheet of the MsExcel book. These are then downloaded as a text file (make sure the extension of the file is changed to XYZ). These are then tranferred to DesignCad using the Import command and selecting XYZ. Usually a vector connecting the points is selected.

In this particular example, the curve generated is one quadrant, so mirror it in X and Y to get the whole curve.

Enjoy.
