Note to Vista and XP Users
« on: July 23, 2008, 10:59:29 AM »
Several users have reported problems with Microsoft's Intellipoint mouse drivers when running DesignCAD under Vista and XP.

A typical problem is that one or more drawing view windows suddenly go blank, requiring a refresh. I have encountered this myself after shading a drawing using the non-accelerated shading mode. Shade, wait a little while, and suddenly your shaded image goes blank.

For the time being I recommend uninstalling Intellipoint if you have it on your Vista or XP system and are experiencing intermittent display problems in DesignCAD.

For me, also true for Windows XP.  Removing or killing the Ipoint.exe process will solve this.

Me too with XP. I needed a new mouse so I foolishly purchased the Intellemouse.
sounded good, bad deal with DC. All kinds of goofy things happen. Removed the intellimouse software and the problems went away.

I did use an intellipoint and gave up on it as it was a piece of #$%^ >:( and went out a bought a Logitech MX400. I have two of them, one on my desktop and one for my laptop. Had NO problems at all.
